Dortmunder Gold Thousand Island Dressing


- 1 C mayonnaise
- 1/4 C ketchup
- 2 tbsp Dortmunder Gold Lager
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 2 tbsp minced onion
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- Pepper, to taste


Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. For a thinner consistency, add a small amount of beer or water. Add salt and pepper to taste, if necessary. Refrigerate overnight or for several hours in a sealed container. Serve over salad, or spread on a corned beef sandwich with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut for a classic deli treat.
