Lake Erie Monster Imperial IPA: Now in Cans!

Issue a small craft advisory! For the first time ever, Lake Erie Monster Imperial IPA will rise from the hoppy depths in 16 oz. Cans!

Lake Erie may be the shallowest of the Great Lakes, but the depth of our Imperial IPA is that of legends. Sweet peach and berry hop flavors swell beneath a wave of caramel malt, while a piney, bitter finish keeps this towering brew in check. With reimagined label art from illustrator Sam Hadley, the new shoreline-friendly cans mean you can enjoy the deliciously colossal flavors from land or lake.

Lake Erie Monster Imperial IPA is available now at the GLBC gift shop. Look for it in 16 oz. Can 4-Packs and Draft throughout our distribution footprint beginning May 3.

ABOUT THE STYLE
A distinctly American style, Imperial IPAs are known for their pronounced hop flavor, aroma, and bitterness. Imperial IPAs generally have medium-high to high alcohol content and a heavier body, while maintaining drinkability. Think of a traditional American IPA, with even more emphasis on hops, and a greater all-around intensity.

ABOUT THE NAME
Named for South Bay Bessie, the legendary Lake Erie cryptid, Lake Erie Monster has a legend of its own. A longtime pub exclusive beer, our Imperial IPA quickly earned a cult following for its unprecedented hoppiness. These days we feed Bessie a combo of pelletized and whole leaf Simcoe and Willamette hops throughout the brewing process to fuel her viciously bitter and aromatic attack.
