Beer 101 Hop College

Expand your beer knowledge at Hop College: Beer 101. Learn from GLBC's Cicerone-certified educators about the story of beer: where it came from, how it’s made, and the best way to taste it. Tap into a deeper understanding of craft brewing the GLBC way by looking at our brewery, history, and philosophy.

Most importantly, enhance your learning through a guided tasting of GLBC brews! We'll be tasting:

Midwest IPA

Dortmunder Gold Lager

Edmund Fitzgerald Porter

Rotating Wheat Beer

Seasonal Beer

Each enrollment includes one 5 oz. pour of each beer, the guided tasting, a Hop College nonic pint glass and notebook (both pictured below). Beer 101 also includes a tour of the brewery for an up close and personal look at how our delicious beer is brewed, cellared, and packaged.
